Don Bosco College puts up ‘Con Brio’ Music concert

The Music Club of Don Bosco College, Kohima organised the first ever Musical Concert under the theme “Con Brio” on Fri. Aug. 24 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School auditorium in Kohima with Catholic Youth Association, Christ King Church Kohima village president Medozhazo Rutsa as the special invitee.

Rutsa quoting Friedrich Nietzsche “without music, life would be a mistake” addressed that music has both negative and positive impact on youngsters and also expounded on the reasons how different age groups, gender react to music

An alumnus of the school, he recalled his past days in the 1990s where Rock-Fest was held two times in Don Bosco School, Kohima and pledge before the audience, that was an indication of Don Bosco Institution profound attachment and love for music. He also stated that music and sports are the ‘salesian way of life bringing out some prominent figures and renowned artists at the national level who were alumni of Don Bosco’. He ended his message with the words of St. John Bosco which reads “Run, Jump, Shout but do not sin”.

The event was marked with Radio Jam (DBCK College Band), Taekwondo Group (Kohima), College Choir (DBCK), Dance Club (DBCK) performances. Professional artists from Nagaland mesmerised the audience with their soulful music that featured  Peteruokuo Kuotso (Holy City), Vidisenuo Belho (My Broken Souvenirs), Zhavi Whuorie (Crystallize Violin Piece), Hinenlo Kath (Precious Lord Take My Hand), Dr. Ao Sunep (Who will stop the rain), Keneisenuo (Remedy), Tutu Terhiija (What is life) to name a few.

DBHSS vice principal Fr. Innocent invoked God’s blessing. The guest, dignitaries, and invitees were welcomed by Don Bosco College, Kohima principal Fr. Dr. P. Suresh and vote of thanks rendered by Bosco Music Club DBCK Co-ordinator Zupenthung Shitiri.
