Dimapur, June 30 (EMN): The Don Bosco College Kohima held its 3rd annual “Quiz Time” at the college premises with Oken Jeet Sandham, Editor NEPS as the special invitee.
Applauding the college for organizing such event for students, Sandham in his brief speech encouraged the students to keep a nose for news and underlined the importance of updating themselves with the current news around the world.
He further lamented that in this internet age, people only forward the message that they receive and have ceased to be thinkers.
In this regard, Sandham said that academicians were once called as walking encyclopedia, ‘but today hardly we gather knowledge’.
“Unless we think, we are not going to bring change. In this smart age, students are smart, but they find it difficult to adjust with the environment and family. We need well informed mind rather than educated mind. We need smart work than hard work.
He concluded by encouraging the students to believe that each one us superbly talented,” said the noted journalist.
