Dimapur, June 5 (EMN): Don Bosco College Kohima organised a felicitation for the gold medallists and toppers of the of the recently declared Nagaland University bachelor degree results on June 4. Minister for Higher & TAechnical Education, Temjen Imna Along attended the programme as specials guest.
The minister in his address said that the Don Bosco institutions were anointed by God and that the students should take it as an encouragement to propel them towards greater heights of success. He reminded the students that ‘young minds are brewing minds that are waiting to be activated’ and that they should not be limited by their family backgrounds, instead, they should strive hard in their studies to bring solutions to problems that plague our society.
Rector of Don Bosco School, Fr. CM Joseph congratulated the principal and staff of the college on the meritorious performance of the students. He exhorted the students to hard work to bring more laurels to the college in the future.
On behalf of the Catholic community of Kohima village, president of the Catholic Union, CKC Keneingu Albert congratulated the toppers for bringing to fruition, the vision of the community. He said the Don Bosco family started the college that would show academic excellence not only in Nagaland but in the Northeast region as well. He also advised the new students for the academic year to strive for success.
The gold medallists Pelhouneinuo Keiwhuo and Manikho and toppers Rokuosanuo Suohu, Vesulu Rhakho, Kevisedenuo Christina, Duchisi Pichhuru, and Mhasinuo Sogotsu were awarded with cash prizes, sashes and bouquets.
