Don Bosco College, Kohima, celebrated its 9th graduation ceremony, honouring 375 graduates and recognising 12 university rank holders in the Nagaland University FYUGP examinations.
DIMAPUR — Don Bosco College, Kohima, held its 9th graduation ceremony for the Class of 2023–26 at the college auditorium on Friday, honouring 375 graduating students.
According to a college update, the graduates comprised 147 from the Department of Political Science, 49 each from Psychology and Sociology, 42 from History, 41 from English, 27 from Education, 12 from Commerce, eight from Zoology and two from Botany.
The college also conferred special awards on 12 students who secured top positions in the Nagaland University Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) examinations.
The awardees were: Ashmita Bhasyal (NU Rank 2, CGPA 9.30) in Zoology; Tuhafi Sharu (Rank 10, 8.21) in Zoology; Kayifi Pfinyu (Rank 8, 8.11) in Education; Alice Khongsai (Rank 4, 9.02) in English; Kevingunuo Sachii (Rank 4, 9.13), Viyienuo Suokhrie (Rank 7, 8.68) and Rhonchano Yanthan (Rank 9, 8.63) in Psychology; Thejaselhou Zuyie (Rank 4, 9.21) and Ruvuomenuo Sorhie (Rank 7, 8.98) in Political Science; C. Daisy Kikon (Rank 5, 8.79), Mhalekhonuo Khezhie (Rank 8, 8.57) and Aimy T. Zhimomi (Rank 10, 8.54) in History.

Dean of the School of Humanities and Education, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Prof. Jano S Liegise attended the programme as the special invitee.
The ceremony also featured addresses by Don Bosco College Principal Fr. Dr. Tious Vargeshe, Parents-Teachers Association president Abuno Meyase and Director of the National Skill & Global Language Academy, Rev. Fr. Antony Thambi.
Ruvuomenuo Sorhie of the Department of Political Science spoke on behalf of the graduating class. The awards were conferred by Dean of Academics Dr. Jarani Maheo, while Assistant Professor of the Department of Sociology, Dr. Abel Kavahru, delivered the vote of thanks.
