DoLR conducts seminar on career guidance

Dimapur, April 22

Department of Land Resources has organized a one day seminar on career counseling under Special Programme on Environment and Economic Development (SPEED) programme in the office premises of District Project Officer, Land Resources, Dimapur, on April 22.
Altogether, 45 students from four villages including Kiyezu, Khekiho, Pishikhu and New Chumukedima have attended the seminar wherein Communication Trainer, Ela Susan James, was the resource person. The semianr was conducted under the supervision of Hekato N, DPO, Land Resource, Dimapur.Ela Susan James gave a practical guide to the participants on how to make the right career choice. Topic covered during the day included developing a positive attitude, making a commitment to explore the options available, being open to learning, study and stay informed on current trends etc. Resource person observed that the students are eager to learn about careers that are aligned to their talents and skills.
The programme was chaired by Vanjamo Murry. Chathavise Terhuja delivered a brief introduction about the aims and objectives of the programme, while Botoholi proposed the vote of thanks.
The four villages of Dimapur district are part of 50 villages across the State adopted by the Department under SPEED (Special Programme on Environment and Economic Development) programme which the department of Land Resources launched in commemorating 50 years of Nagaland statehood.
