DIMAPUR — With the launch of CMHIS, the state government has done away with the old medical reimbursement system with effect from November 1, 2022.
During the transition, however, some patients who received district medical board recommendations for outside state treatment approval were unable to submit them to the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DoH&FW) after October 31, 2022, due to the state government order in effect at the time.
Regarding this, Dr. Chiekroshuyi Tetseo, director in charge of medical reimbursement, stated in a press release on Wednesday that patients who obtained a recommendation from the district medical board prior to November 1, 2022, should immediately submit the documents to the DoH&FW by August 18, 2023, for onward submission to the state government for post-ex-facto approval for outside state treatment.
