Dimapur, Sep. 22 (EMN): Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has supported the demands of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF) to streamline the teachers of 2010 and 2013 batches of SSA and RMSA into the mainstream of the state School Education cadre.

The union, in a statement issued by its media cell, has expressed dismay and disappointment for the alleged breach of agreement/ decision, which was signed between the concerned department and the NSSTA, NSF and ENSF on June 12, 2018.

The union has appealed to the state government and the concerned department to act more responsibly with sincerity towards the genuine aspiration of the SSA and RMSA teachers.

Meanwhile, the union has urged the concerned department not to take undue advantage over the silence of the student community and cautioned that it could result to be one of the ‘greatest errors in the history of educational sector in the state.’

The union has also accused the state government of step-motherly treatment towards the education sector as compared to other departments in the state. Alleging that salary of teachers are always delayed for months, the union reminded the government never to expect the teachers to render their service ‘in empty stomach.’

The union has further affirmed not to compromise with anything that jeopardise the service of teachers and careers of the students community.
