DIMAPUR — Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has expressed concerns over the rampant use of drugs by the youngsters and students in and around Dimapur.

The union has urged the concerned department to take up measures in order to further strengthen the effort to curb the menace of drugs particularly in Dimapur district. It also urged the government to set up rehabilitation centers so as to accommodate the recovering drug addicts.

DNSU also appealed to the churches and prayer centres to establish counseling and rehabilitation centres with the purpose to provide counseling about the menace of drugs to their congregations and the recovering drugs users.

It further appealed to all concerned citizens to report any cases of selling and drug abuse in their colonies to the police.

“Together we can combat this social evil. We assure our full co-operation to the administration, if required,” the union stated.
