DNSU expresses concern over fund drives by student organisations

Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has expressed serious concern over massive fund drives and donations by different student organisations or unions for various purposes which hampered the smooth functioning of the business community.

While admitting the support needed by student organisations and unions to carry forward their projects for the uplift of the student community, DNSU pointed out that excessive fund drives and donations for such causes are bothersome to the business community, which also hinders their business growth as well.

“It is only wise that we all as student bodies serving the common good of the student community must also ‘work and earn’ as well as find ways and means to have sustainable earning outlets for the office to function and progress and not solely depend on fund drives and donations with no work efforts,” DNSU said.

It, therefore, appealed to all student organisations including DNSU members to restrain from such exercises of power to gain easy financial support and disturb the business community in Dimapur.
