DNSU demands swift action against preacher accused of sexual exploitation
DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has condemned the alleged sexual molestation of minors by the senior pastor of Father’s House Church in Chümoukedima, Robert Kikon.
In a press release issued on Saturday, the union stated that the disturbing revelations have shocked and outraged the community, “and we stand in solidarity with the victims and their families”.
“We applaud the swift action taken by the church board, demanding the pastor’s immediate resignation and barring him from representing the church. This decisive step demonstrates a commitment to upholding moral and ethical standards.

“DNSU supports the ongoing police investigation and urges the authorities to take stringent action against the accused, ensuring justice for the victims. We also appreciate the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur’s assurance to file a case or take suo moto action once sufficient evidence is established,” it stated.
The DNSU asserted that sexual exploitation and abuse are heinous crimes that warrant zero tolerance.
Accordingly, it issued three appeals: to the authorities to expedite the investigation and ensure prompt justice; to the community to provide support and protection to the victims and their families; and to individuals to refrain from inflammatory statements, allowing the law to take its course.
“DNSU stands committed to creating a safe environment for all, especially vulnerable groups like children and minors. We will closely monitor the situation and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to prevent such incidents in the future,” it added.
