DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) has endorsed the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) demand for reduction of marks for the viva-voce to be conducted by the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB).

“DNSU stands firm with the decision of the Naga Students' Federation for the interest of the students and youth community and shall extend our full cooperation in the event of the Federation resorting to any form of democratic agitation,” DNSU stated in a press release.

The union appealed to all the aspirants who have qualified for viva-voce to refrain from appearing for the interview, scheduled on April 17 and the 18th, for the Combined Staff Recruitment Examination (CSRE) 2022 until the Federation's “genuine demand” is considered and upheld by the concerned authorities.

It may be mentioned the NSF on April 14 announced that that it will boycott the personal interview of CSRE 2022 if the demand for the viva-voce component in all categories is not reduced to 5% of the total marks as against the proposed 12.5 %.

The federation also said it will resort to other forms of democratic agitation until this genuine demand of the students and youth community is addressed by the authorities concerned.
