Dimapur, May 12 (EMN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has revised and re-fixed the rates of various categories of chicken (live and dressed) with immediate effect.
Administrator, DMC, W Manpai Phom in an order on Friday stated that the revised rates is in pursuance to the resolution of joint meeting of the three municipalities/town councils – DMC, Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC) and East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) held on April 18.
The revised rates are as: Broiler (live) – INR 160 per kg; Broiler (dressed) – INR 250 per kg; Layer and Felister (live) – INR 200 per kg; Kuroiler (live) – INR 300 per kg
The order stated that the prescribed rates are the maximum amount fixed by DMC, which are to be followed strictly by the chicken sellers. Besides, the meat stalls have to be hygienic as per the norms and the butchers have been directed to provide quality and hygienic meat to the customers.
“Failing to comply with the above instruction, the undersigned will be bound to take appropriate action as per Provisions of Law,” the order stated.
