DMC renovates road at UNB ‘B’

Dimapur, Nov. 7 (EMN): The longest road renovated by the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) measuring 2466 sqm at a total cost of Rs 25, 53,900 lakh at United North Block ‘B’ (UNB ‘B’) in Dimapur was inaugurated by Parliamentary Secretary of Irrigation & Flood Control, H Tovihoto Ayemi, on November 6.

Lauding DMC for constructing the road, Ayemi said the government is trying to meet community needs in different aspects and urged the people to extend their support and cooperation to various government authorities. Stating that community needs would be given priority over individual needs, the legislator urged the public to exhibit unity amongst themselves for betterment of the society.

DMC Administrator, Moa Sangtam, while crediting the former DMC administrator H Atokhe Aye for working towards development of the road in Dimapur, conveyed gratitude to the public for their cooperation. He also thanked the residents of UNB ‘B’ colony for their support towards the DMC.

Drawing attention on the PIL filed by a certain colony regarding the issue of dumping site, Sangtam appealed all to work together and come to an understanding for the betterment of all.

The programme was attended by GBs, colony council members and various public leaders.
