DMC prescribed rates for beef, pork and mutton

EMN Dimapur, May 22 The rate control cell of Dimapur Municipal Council conducted a surprise check this morning on butchers selling meat at higher rates than the rate prescribed by the DMC. In the surprise check the DMC rate control staff detected a butcher selling pork at higher rate and have booked the butcher and seized the meat. The Rate Control staff have issued a warning of stern action against those violating the DMC order The DMC prescribed Meat prices are as follows : 1. Beef - Rs. 130 per kg Offal (head, hoof, intestine, liver, spleen, kidney, etc.) - Rs. 100 per kg 2. Pork (wholesale) - Rs. 130 per kg Pork (retail sale & dressed) - Rs. 170 per kg Offal (head, hoof, intestine, liver, spleen, kidney, etc.) - Rs. 140 per kg 3. Mutton - Rs. 300 per kg Offal (head, hoof, intestine, liver, spleen, kidney, etc.) - Rs. 100 per kg Revo Anar, incharge, DMC rate control has urged the public/consumers not to pay more than the rate prescribed by the DMC and also to report any butcher not adhering to the DMC rate to Rate Control Cell, DMC at phone nos. 03862-236815, 9856901584, 9856217605.
