DMC organises anti-rabies vaccination campaign

Dimapur, March 6 (EMN):
The third phase of the ongoing free anti-rabies cum animal health care campaign was held at Lengrijan council hall on March 6. The campaign is being organised by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) veterinary public health cell within DMC jurisdiction.

More than 260 pets from Lengrijan and surrounding colonies were vaccinated on Saturday, while 40 pets were given medical treatment and free medicines during the camp.

The first phase of vaccination was conducted on February 13 at Landmark Colony and surrounding colonies, where about 200 pets including dogs and cats were vaccinated. The second phase vaccination was conducted on February 27 at Xuvehi and surrounding colonies wherein 90 pets were vaccinated.

DMC officials informed that the next phase of the campaign would be conducted on March 13 at the residence of Nyamo Lotha colony chairman. It would be followed on March 20 at HMC School-Sewak colony, Salt Christian College-East Police colony on March 27.

DMC would also organise the programme at Sunrise colony council hall on April 3, Government Primary School at Imkonglenden colony on April 10, community hall of Viola colony on April 17 and at house number 208 at Fellowship colony on April 24.
