Assam police detain Nagaland DMC nominee Enoch Wotsa with alleged liquor haul in government and private vehicles.

DIMAPUR — Nagaland government nominee for the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Enoch Wotsa, was reportedly caught in the early hours of Wednesday by Khatkati Police in Assam.
He was with three other individuals whose identities are yet to be confirmed and was allegedly in possession of an undisclosed quantity of alcohol.
According to photos and videos of the incident circulating on social media, Wotsa, who also serves as vice president of the NDPP Dimapur youth organisation, was found transporting a large quantity of alcohol in a government-registered vehicle and two private vehicles with Dimapur registration plates.
He is the son of Dr. Sukhato A Sema, sitting MLA from 13 A/C Pughoboto. Repeated attempts to contact the Assam police for further details went unanswered.
