Dimapur, March 28 (EMN): In an attempt to control the escalation of prices under its jurisdiction amid fears of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has fixed the wholesale and retail price of various essential commodities.

DMC administrator Albert Ezung has warned that its prescribed (fixed) rate was the maximum and directed retailers strictly adhere to it. However, they are at liberty to sell below the rate it has prescribed. No increase of price will be considered unless the prices are reviewed periodically by the competent authority, it added.
