Districts to hold medical board for exemption from election duty

MOKOKCHUNG — The deputy commissioner (DC) and district election officer (DEO) of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, informed all polling personnel and Grade IV staff/ MTS requisitioned for election duty that a medical board for exemption from election duty on medical ground would be held on April 1 at the Planning Hall of the District Planning Officer in Mokokchung from 10 am onwards.

In this regard, all who have already applied leave on medical ground (listed in Annexure-A) and others wishing to avail exemptions on the same ground are directed to appear in person along with all relevant documents/ certificates before the medical board on the mentioned date.

In another statement, the DC and DEO of Wokha, informed that the medical board for examining polling personnel from exemption from election duty would be held on March 28 at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital, Wokha, from 10 am onwards.

The medical board would be headed by EAC of Wokha Luchui Fithu as chairman along with Dr. Chumdemo Kikon, Dr. Wobemo, Dr. Krunichuno Rino and Dr. Pyantsuthung as members.

Meanwhile, the DC of Phek inform that medical board for polling personnel seeking exemption from election duty on medical ground would be held on April 3 at his office complex from 10 am onwards.

All genuine applicants are informed to appear in person before the board on the said time, date and venue.

The board is being led by the ADC Ruopfukuotuo Noudi as chairman along with the CMO of Phek, Dr. Avile Zao, EAC Nengpichong Singsit, and specialist doctors from District Hospital, Phek, as members.

Informing that there will be only one sitting of the medical board, it stated that no exemption on medical board would be entertained after the stipulated date. Pregnant women and lactating mothers, who have already submitted application for leave with supporting documents, need not appear for the medical board.
