Dimapur, June 11 (EMN): Advisor for Power department and also chairman of District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Dimapur, H Tovihoto Ayemi advised all the administrative officers and department heads serving under Dimapur district to be punctual and committed in their assigned duties.
Chairing the 1st DPDB meeting after the installation of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government, Tovihoto reminded that members that officers serving in Dimapur are the most privileged and efficient government employees and urged them not to neglect the works assigned to them. He also reminded them to be regular in attending the monthly board meeting.
Irrespective of political parties, the legislators of Dimapur district will join hands together and work for the welfare of the people, Ayemi maintained.
DC Sushil Kumar Patel who is also the vice chairman of Dimapur DPDB, thanked all the members for their contributions during the recently concluded Lok Sabha by-elections.
In the meeting, MS Dimapur highlighted on the urgent need for black topping the area inside the Dimapur district hospital. He said that the stretch from OT to the ward is about 500 to 700 meters where patients are carried in trolley causing lots of pain and inconvenience to the patients due to the uneven surface. The house decided to write to the engineering civil wing of Medical department to take up the work. With regard to the slow pace of work progress of the new 200 bedded Dimapur district hospital construction, Tovihoto asked for the details of the new hospital construction to be taken up in the next DPDB meeting.
On the agenda for setting up of bank at Thahekhu block IV, Rangapahar crossing, the house decided to write to the Lead bank and take up during DLCC meeting.
On the agenda for grant in aid, the house decided to forward the documents of all the eight schools to the government as no adverse remarks were noted.
With regard to the registration of societies for Young women Christian Association Dimapur, ten branches cooperative society Dimapur, Hazi Park Business Welfare Committee, Wotsa Arts, and training centre Dimapur, the house agreed to forward to the government as all the documents were found in order with no adverse remarks on verification. On registration of the Skill@bility Dimapur, the board has forwarded the documents to SDO (C) for verification and submission of report to be discussed during the next meeting.
Agenda for opening Academy for Theology and Missions the House, board decided to endorse the documents to SDO (C) administration for verification after which it would be forwarded to the director of Higher &Technical.
Zunheboto: Zunheboto DPDB meeting was held on June 8, with the chairman of the board, Khehovi, who is also the dvisor for Tourism; advisor for Agriculture and Co-operation, Kaito Aye; Pukhayi Sumi, advisor forF&CS, NSDMA and Legal Metrology; and advisor for Education, K Tokugha Sukhalu in attendance.
During the meeting, the legislators expressed the need for expanding economy by activating the government departments in the district. Heads of offices were requested to rededicate themselves and serve the department with sincerity. Head of offices were also requested to come up with new and innovative proposals in the DPDB meeting.
SDO Civil, Ajit reviewed the last meeting minutes and highlighted on the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Parhao’.
The board members discussed on creation of Treasury office at Satakha for which STO (Treasury Officer) was entrusted to furnish the details. Creation of SDO (Electrical) at two administrative at Satakha and Suruhuto was deliberated. In this regard, the concerned officer has been directed to submit the report.
GB Association of Zunheboto town requested the board members for financial assistance to which the board has agreed to take up the matter.
The ‘Vision document’ of the DPDB and ‘Coffee plantation’ were discussed. The board also agreed with the proposal for construction of multi- purpose hall in the Zunheboto town.
Immediate need for construction of new building for administrative officers, senior engineer complex, Government High School, PWD Mechanical and Housing were deliberated.
Formation of landowner committee to tackle such problems was also suggested.
Principal, Zunheboto Government College has been directed to submit detail reports for his proposal for introduction of science stream, sociology as elective subject, honours in education department, renovation and extension of rooms and water supply etc.
Wokha: The monthly meeting of the Wokha DPDB was held on 11th June 11 in the DC’s conference hall. The meeting was presided over by the vice chairman DPDB, Dr.Manazir Jeelani Samoon.
The chairman of DPDB Wokha and advisor for Information Technology, Science & Technology, New & Renewable Energy Mmhonlumo Kikon and MLA Dr. Chumben Murry also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the board felicitated HSLC and HSSLC toppers, the chairman handed over cash awards and certificates to the meritorious students. District education officer presented a brief report on HSLC result 2018.
During the meeting the board approved recognition and up-gradation of Perennial Montessori School, Bethsaida Kindergarten School, Wokha and grant-in-aid to Bethel High School Wokha. The vice chairman requested departments to extend co-operation during the district specific study on Swachh Bharat Mission for the year 2018.

Dr. Chumben Murry presented modalities for Wokha town-Year of Cleanliness 2018-19 with the motto “Cleanliness from within.”
The chairman directed to form a core committee for Wokha town cleanliness committee headed by ADC, Wokha involving representatives from stakeholders, churches AUDO, DFO, DEO and youths of Wokha town and youths from Wokha village and Longsa village for implementation of the same.
The chairman on behalf of all the legislators of the district thanked the SP Wokha, Bharat Market,IPS for his service rendered during his short tenure in the district. SP also thanked all officers in the district, NGOs and general public for the support extended during his stay at Wokha.
