District Press Club of Karbi Anglong elections on Febuary 8

DIPHU — The general election for the District Press Club of Karbi Anglong (DPCKA) will take place on February 8.

This announcement was made during the DPCKA executive meeting on Wednesday, which was presided over by president Diganta Teron.

The election will be held for the positions of president and general secretary, with the office deciding on the remaining positions. Kangbura Senar, a senior journalist and Sanju Bora, a DIPRO official and DPCKA adviser, have been appointed as returning officers to ensure that the election is conducted smoothly.

Meanwhile, for DPCKA’s 7th foundation day, which will also be celebrated at Diphu Recreation Park, sub-committee conveners for finance, decoration, and fooding have been appointed.

The DPCKA also informed all its affiliated press clubs to participate in the election.
