District officials discuss Mokokchung hospital work

Consulatative meeting for construction of IMDH at Mokokchung
District officials of Mokokchung meet to discuss ongoing construction works in the IMDH, on September 21 in Mokokchung.

Dimapur, Sep. 23 (EMN): A meeting to discuss matters related to the ongoing construction work at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital in Mokokchung was conducted on September 21 in the additional deputy commissioner’s establishment.
The meeting was presided over by Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Soundararajan.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) issued updates to the media informing about the meeting.

During the meeting, Soundararajan told officials that the hospital serves not only Mokokchung district but adjoining districts too. He urged the contractor to ‘finish the work’ at the earliest possible time.

Soundararajan insisted that there should be no compromise on the quality of work, the IPR stated.
The director for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Vigolie Z Suokhrie also said that the department was strictly monitoring the project. He was stated to have assured the best possible help from the department for speedy construction of the project.

A medical officer Dr. Medem, medical superintendent of the hospital, briefed the officials about the status of the construction, and said that half of the hospital had been vacated and dismantled for the construction, the IPR stated.

The president of the Ao Senden, Chubawati, also insisted that there should be no compromise on the quality of work and advised against diverting the funds, the IPR reported.

“He said that civil societies in Mokokchung are ready to extend every possible help for the construction of IMDH,” the IPR stated.

The deputy commissioner was stated to have suggested regular meetings at least every six month till the completion of the work, the IPR added.
