Disaster management mock drill at Sao Chang College

Dimapur, August 3 (EMN): Sao Chang Government College, Tuensang organised a disaster management mock drill on August 1 at the college campus in collaboration with the office of the Deputy Controller, Civil Defence & District Commandant, Home Guard, Tuensang. Experts from CD & HG Tuensang imparted basic knowledge on disaster management techniques and rescue methods to the students, teaching faculty and the non-teaching staffs. During the demonstration, the experts displayed how to respond and rescue in the event of any natural calamity. Artificial mock earthquake scene was arranged and students along with the teachers. Basic knowledge on emergency fire dousing technique demonstration was also displayed, where, fire extinguishers of various types for different type and nature of fire outbreak was shown. Meanwhile, the college authority expressed its gratefulness to the office of the Deputy Controller, Civil Defence & District Commandant, Home Guard, Tuensang for imparting the most need knowledge on disaster handling methods and techniques of how to save lives and be aware in the event.
