Dimapur, May 27 : Another government vehicle, a Mahendra Bolero, has run down a person. The vehicle of a top government official, an unidentified person but believed to be a “Director” as suggested by the offending vehicle’s nameplate, is said to have hit an old woman at Lower Kezieke in Kohima today. The Kezieke Youth Organization issued a notice on Friday demanding that the owner of the vehicle, a White Bolero, surrender before any recourse.

“The 65 year old woman who is admitted to Naga Hospital Authority Kohima has suffered a fractured leg with other minor injuries. The incident occurred today at around 1:40 PM when a speeding Bolero coming from towards Tinpati/Pezielietse hit the old woman near the saw mill located at lower Kezieke and speeded towards Naga Bazar,” the organization stated in the notice. “According to eye witnesses, the Bolero is white in colour and bears a name plate of a “Director’.” The Kezieke Youth Organization has asked the “concerned Director and his driver” to come forward and settle the matter at the earliest. The KYO can be contacted at 9089886002/9436831166.

“The KYO would be compelled to trace down the vehicle and the responsible person in the event of non-compliance to this appeal,” it warned.
