Diphupar village holds rally to declare alcohol-free zone

Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): A public rally was held on Monday to declare Diphupar an alcohol-free zone at Diphupar village, Chumoukedima.

The rally was organised by Diphupar Village Council along with Diphupar Naga Women’s Organisation, and attended by Diphupar Naga Youth Organisation, Diphupar Naga Students’ Union, churches and more than 500 participants of Diphupar village, an update stated.

As part of the rally, the Diphupar Village Council and civil organisations also resolved to seize the land patta of houses where alcohol is sold. It further adopted the resolution to inform the defaulters concerned to the village council, churches and to publicise their names, to cancel the trade licence and to expel the defaulter from the village.
