DIMAPUR — Dimapur District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (DIMUL) won the third position for best performing dairy cooperative from Northeast region under Institutional Sales Award 2023.
The award was handed over to Dimapur Milk Union by the minister of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Government of Sikkim, Lok Nath Sharma, during the 53rd foundation day celebration of National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited (NCDFI) in Gangtok on December 7. The award was given away in the presence of NCDFI chairman, Dr. Mangal Jit Rai, an update from DIMUL stated.
It stated that DIMUL was recognised for its extensive milk supply to the Ministry of Defense, Indian army in Northeast India.
The first position was won by West Assam Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (Purabi Dairy) and the second position was won by Sikkim Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (Sikkim Milk).
It informed that dairy cooperatives from all over India attended the programme.
