Dimapur, April 14: The Oriental Theological Seminary (OTS) in collaboration with Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) cleaned and painted Dimapur’s landmark flyover over Railway station on Saturday April 14. The landmark flyover was cleaned, washed and painted by the OTS along with local youth volunteers and Covenant Institute Dimapur who were invited by the OTS.
Extending manpower towards DMC for ‘A better Dimapur’ project, OTS Associate Professor Dr. Sashi Jamir articulated ‘theology informs us to take care of the place that we live in and this act of involvement in cleaning and giving a facelift to our city is an expression of faith.
Lauding DMC Administrator Moa Sangtam for his commendable effort towards a clean Dimapur with a good vision, Jamir said “DMC has given us a good platform to express what we learn from our classroom”. He also remarked that we can contribute by providing manpower while the DMC can provide resources.
The OTS had earlier this year painted the old Dhansiri Bridge and has adopted the bridge which they will continue to take care of.
