Dimapur, Wokha, Zbto boards review devp for October

The monthly meeting of the district planning and development board of Dimapur, Wokha, and Zunheboto district for the month of October was held on October 8 in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner of the two districts. The meeting for Dimapur DPDB was chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the DPDB of Dimapur Wezope Kenye.
The meeting was attended by Parliamentary Secretary S &T, IT, TE & Chairman, DPDB, Dimapur. Parliamentary Secretary Urban Development Zhaleo Rio and Congress Legislature Party leader Tokheho Yepthomi also attended the meeting.
Power department & PWD (R&B) gave the departmental presentation respectively. Reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes the board discussed approval for opening of theological institution “Convenient Institute of Theology & Mission”. The board asked the concerned department to bring the required documents and will discuss in the next DPDB meeting.
The board also discussed agenda for opening of two (2) new schools, Spear Army Primary School Rangapahar Station, Dimapur and Riverbelt School, Electrical Colony; Full Nagarjan was approved by the Board. The board recommended to the higher authority for change of nomenclature, St. Joseph Christian School, Niuland to Lt. Vitoyi Memorial High School, Vihokhu in Niuland.
Approval of LADP schemes for the year 2014-15 was also approved. Constitution of Implementing Committee for LADP 2014-15, the board decided to continue with the previous year LADP Committee.
The Deputy Commissioner said that he will give write up notification to the entire concerned department about the Work charge employees’ verification.
A proposal on conducting a leadership and motivational seminar for leaders in Nagaland has been made. It will be held on October 13 in the deputy commissioner’s conference hall in Dimapur. Deputy Commissioner Wezope Kenye requested all the DPDB members to attend the seminar.
In the next DPDB meeting, a power point presentation will be presented by Taxes and excise department. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by the chair.
Wokha DPDB
The monthly meeting of the District Planning and Development Board of Wokha was held on October 9 in the DC conference hall in Wokha town. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Wokha A Robin Lotha.
During the meeting the following agendas were discussed and recommended for approval, Finalization of schemes for LADP 2014-15 under Wokha district, change of nomenclature from Goodwill school to St. Paul School of Sanis and construction of hostel and science computer building for Isaiah Ability School Wokha under NEC scheme.
The SDEO of Bhandari apprised the members about the closure of schools in the areas of Ralan due to the recent unrest in the border areas. He informed that schools are almost closed for about three months since school building are occupied by the security forces.
In that regard the deputy commissioner informed that despite several rounds of meetings issue could not be resolved and at this time security forces cannot be withdrawn because people in the area are under threat. The DC also informed the board that he has directed the village authorities to find out alternative arrangement to accommodate the security personnel also stated that government is also working out means to solve the problem.
The DC also requested all head of offices in the district to furnish detail report (Appointment Order/Bio-data) of all work charge and casual employees in their respective departments, he also requested all HODs to issue Photo Identity Card before 22nd October 2014.
Highlighting the activities of Wokha District Sports Council (WDSC), Edward Ngullie Member (WDSC) informed that board about its plan to organized Mini Olympic in the district in this regard the Deputy Commissioner requested all the head of offices in the district to co-operate as and when approached for the event.

Zunheboto DPDB
Likewise, the monthly meeting of the Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board for the month of October was held on October 8 in the DC’s conference hall in Zunheboto town. The meeting was chaired by ADC of Zunheboto, Nungsangmenla.
During the meeting, the ADC of Planning briefed the officials on the Local Area Development schemes for 2014-2015 for constituencies under Zunheboto district. The total allocation for Zunheboto district amounts to 6 crore 91 lakhs 25 thousand.
Each constituency receives 98.75 lakhs and as per the guidelines stipulated down by the planning and co-ordination department of Nagaland. The following deductions has been specified i.e., 20% for individual, 40% towards community, 25% and 15 % towards augmentation and employment generation and the common pool fund.
Later, the members of the board discussed identification and verification of work charge and casual employees. SDO (Civil) Hollohon Yepthomi of Zunheboto and SDO (Civil) of headquarters Shanavas, IAS, highlighted the guidelines to be observed by the head of offices under Zunheboto district.
They also requested the members to furnish and submit the incumbency list of casual and work charge workers at the earliest for screening by the district level committee. The list would then be readied for submission to the higher authorities, they said.
