Dimapur U-16 Cricket Tournament: Ram Janaki outclass Little Star

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur U-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2024, organised by the Dimapur District Cricket Association under the aegis of the Nagaland Cricket Association, witnessed an impressive performance from Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School on Wednesday at the Dimapur District Sports Council ground.

In the match against Little Star Higher Secondary School, Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School secured a convincing 9-wicket victory, according to an update.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Little Star Higher Secondary School could only muster 63 runs for the loss of all 10 wickets. Kihika emerged as the top scorer for his side, contributing 19 runs.

For Ram Janaki School, Akash Gupta led the bowling attack, emerging as the pick of the bowlers with an impressive 3-wicket haul.

Chasing the modest target, Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School got off to a good start, with Satyam Kumar playing a pivotal role, scoring an unbeaten 30 runs to guide his team to victory.

Akash Gupta’s performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

A total of 10 schools are participating in the tournament from Dimapur.
