KOHIMA — PINK EYE, an upcoming Pop-Rock band from Dimapur, Nagaland, is set to make its international debut at The Fuse Arts Festival in London, United Kingdom, on June 26.
The six-member band consists of Guraans Thapa on vocals, Pete on keyboard, Jeremy on rhythm guitar, Sanen on lead guitar, Vimesa on drums, and Ketho on bass.
The band members range in age from 17 to 20 years. The youngest member, 17-year-old Jeremy, is still in high school, while the oldest, 20-year-old Ketho, and the remaining 19-year-old members are in college.
The band recently announced their UK tour, which features performances at The Fuse Fest on June 26, The Rose Theatre Mainstage on June 27, and The Rose Theatre Café on June 28. The group is scheduled to depart for the UK on Monday, June 22.
In a conversation with Eastern Mirror, the band members shared that the group was formed in 2023, initially for a church gig where friends came together to perform and share their love for music.
They recalled that the name “PINK EYE” came from a memorable time around that period, inspired by conjunctivitis, which subsequently became the identity of the band.
"Since then, what started as a fun project has grown into something much bigger for us," they shared.
This upcoming tour marks their first international performances since the formation of the band. "Before this, we have performed and travelled across Northeast India, but this will be our first time taking our music to another country," they said.

Regarding their performance at the Fuse Arts Festival, the band members expressed that they feel "extremely overwhelmed, grateful, and excited for this opportunity". They added that performing in a completely different country and sharing their music with a new audience is a dream come true.
"We are looking forward to this new journey and to representing our region on an international platform," they said.
