Dimapur police recover unidentified body

DIMAPUR — An unidentified dead body of a male aged around 50–55 years and wearing a green jacket, white sweater, black checked sweater, white T-shirt and black pants was found 40 metres away from Dimapur East Police Station, outside the office of the Indian Post, on Sunday. The police updated that the cause of death is “highly suspected” to be due to illness, as no bodily injuries were found on the dead body during the inquest conducted under the observation of two independent witnesses. The body of the deceased, suspected to be a homeless beggar, was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem and identification after completion of all legal formalities, it updated, while requesting the claimant, relatives or friends of the deceased to contact the Officer-in-Charge of Dimapur East Police Station on the phone number 7085055020.
