Dimapur, Sep. 21: The valedictory programme of a five-day advanced course in cyber crime investigation besides the release of an investigation manual was conducted on Saturday in the Rhododendron Hall of the Nagaland police officers’ central mess at Chumoukedima in Dimapur.
Speaking at the programme, the director general of Nagaland police T John Longkumer urged the trainees to make a difference in the society.
“True integrity will bring out quality,” he said. “You will represent the cutting edge for our force in the field of cyber crime investigation.”
He suggested that the officers speak at schools and colleges to educate youngsters on cyber-related crime to prevent the young from falling into traps online.
Earlier during the programme, police superintendent (crime) course coordinator Vishal presented a brief report of the training. The five-day cyber crime training was organised by the Nagaland Police as part of cyber crime prevention programmes. 46 police officers of the police establishment participated.
The training included online pre-assessment and post-assessment, hands-on exercises, case studies and group discussions.
Also, an investigation manual for cyber crime was released by Longkumer. Certificates were given to the participants of the training programme.
