Dimapur Police bids farewell to outgoing officers

Dimapur, Nov. 14(EMN): Dimapur Police Commissionerate bade farewell to the commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, and other outgoing officers — T Yarenthung Ngullie, ADCP CMD, Bharat Laxman Markad, DCP (crime), Naieem Mustafa, DCP Dimapur, and Jatila Jamir, DGP Traffic — on Monday, at Conference Hall, Officer of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur.

During the farewell programme, CP expressed gratitude to his subordinates officers and staff, stating that during his tenure, ‘whatever little they have achieved is due to the cooperation and coordination’ of all the officers and staff. He also asked the media to protect the positive things in the society and state.

He also thanked the NGOs, administration and paramilitary force for their contribution and help especially during COVID-19. Further, he also apologised to any citizen who became a victim of police in action during his tenure.

He further asked everyone to work together and also appealed to the NGOS, administration and others to continue to give their cooperation to the team as well.

Outgoing officer, Ngullie, expressed gratitude to all the officers and subordinates for their cooperation, and also encouraged the officers to give their best in their duty and be the torch bearer for the department.

DCP (crime) said he interacted with officers from different states and appreciated the Nagaland Police more, stating that ‘paper works and investigation’ in Nagaland were carried out more professionally than other states in the country. He also said that for development to come, the pre-requisite is law and order.

DCP Dimapur also said some of the challenges of Dimapur is that it is a ‘hotbed for all criminal activities and even a simple case can escalate into big issues’.

He also expressed that his significant policing career was under Dimapur Police Commissionerate and so it ‘will forever be in his heart’.

DCP Traffic also thanked all the officers and subordinates for supporting and cooperating during her tenure. She also thanked the CP for always giving sound advice. She encouraged the young officers to work hard and not depend on the subordinates.

Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur Sachin Jaiswal also thanked the officers for rendering their service selflessly. He also thanked them for their duty during the COVID-19 pandemic, and expressed that the leadership shown by CP has left a positive imprint in the people of Dimapur.

It may be mentioned that the new post for CP is DIG (range) in Kohima, DCP traffic is promoted to DIGP (Planning And Development), DGP Dimapur is transferred to Superintendent of Police Peren, DCP (crime) is transferred to Superintendent of Police Phek, and ADCP CMP is promoted to commandant of 5th NAP Phek.
