Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): To prevent and contain the spread of the novel coronavirus or Covid-19 the deputy commissioner of Dimapur on Monday has in two different notices issued directives stating a more effective monitoring system of the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
The administration stated, among other directives, that pharmacies and medical stores are to remain open from 9 am and during normal business hours.
A notice from the deputy commissioner’s office on Monday stated that all retail shops selling essential commodities are to open from 9 am to 2 pm only. It added that wholesalers in Dimapur are to open shop from 5 am to 8 am only.
However, all pharmacies and medical stores are to open from 9 am and remain open as in the normal business hours, the press release stated.
The administration also appealed the public to do necessary shopping during the allotted hours for buying essential commodities.
The press release from the deputy commissioner’s office stated that the order will come into force w.e.f. April 1 and will remain till further notice.
The administration has warned of strong action under section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act of 2005 besides legal action under the section 188 of the IPC if any person is found violating the order.
