Dimapur, June 19 (EMN): To curb malpractices in the market, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) undertook a surprise checking on June 19 and confiscated poultry, beef and pork items which were sold at higher rate than the prescribed rate.
A DMC’s statement issued by its administrator Albert Ezung stated that defaulters were also penalised.
Meanwhile, DMC has notified to all the dealers, butchers, and meat sellers within its jurisdiction to sell their items at the DMC-approved rate.
