Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation has declared that it would start in its fourth phase of Inner Line Permit (ILP) checks alongside a poster campaign demanding that Dimapur be brought under the purview of the ILP regulation. The NSF expressed displeasure that the Nagaland government gave an unfavourable response to the students’ demand to make Dimapur district an ILP zone. The NSF issued a note on Monday.
“The Naga Students Federation had submitted a memorandum to the chief minister for demand to include Dimapur district within the purview of ILP on the 24th September with an appeal to the chief minister’s office for a response within a time period of 30 days,” the note read.
“However, the reply given to the NSF had no mentioned of the ILP in Dimapur district. Therefore, the NSF will carry out its 4th phase on checking of ILP and demand for inclusion of Dimapur district within the purview of ILP by carrying out poster campaign.”
