Dimapur district administration plants saplings at DGC
Dimapur, July 19 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi, who is also the chairman of the Advisory Board of Dimapur Government College (DGC), and Dimapur Municipal Council Administrator Albert Ezung visited the college on Sunday and planted a pine sapling each.
The officials planted the saplings at the entrance of the new Science block, to kick start the plantation and beautification drive initiated by Eco and Beautification Club and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college, an update informed.
The plantation and beautification drive is part of the ‘Green Campus Project’ of the college. The project has been adopted as a best practice of the DGC, in keeping with the national objectives on increasing green cover in the country, it stated.
Principal, vice principal, senior HA, IQAC team, Rusa and Eco and Beautification Club members were present during the visit of the officials.
