Dimapur and Chumoukedima enter final after dominant semi-final wins in Nagaland Senior Men’s Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2026

DIMAPUR — Dimapur and Chumoukedima registered convincing wins in their respective semi-finals to book places in the final of the Senior Men’s Inter-District Tournament 2026 on Wednesday.
At Sovima Cricket Ground, Dimapur defeated Niuland by 47 runs in a low-scoring contest. Opting to bat first, Dimapur were bowled out for 175 in 41.3 overs, with Samir Ali (36) and Anirudh Yadav (30) making useful contributions.
Niuland’s bowlers kept things tight, led by Vino G Zhimomi, who returned impressive figures of 4/19, while Sujal Prasad Thakur chipped in with 2/3.
In reply, Niuland were restricted to 128 all out in 39.4 overs. Hokaito Zhimomi top-scored with 27, but lacked support as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Dimapur’s bowling attack proved decisive, with Joshua Ben Ozukum leading the charge with 4/19. He was well supported by Yashimeren Jamir (2/28) and Tahmeed (2/40). Ozukum was named Player of the Match.
In the second semi-final at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Chümoukedima outclassed Kohima by 126 runs in a one-sided encounter.
Batting first, Chümoukedima posted a formidable 315 in 50 overs, riding on a superb century by Aloto Sumi, who scored 127 off 133 balls. He was ably supported by Yugi, who added 64.
For Kohima, Peter (3/67) and Imomenba (3/41) were the pick of the bowlers.
Chasing a stiff target, Kohima were bowled out for 189 in 45.3 overs despite efforts from Seyievizo Zaputou (39) and Zidu (27).
Chümoukedima’s bowlers dominated, with Imliwati claiming 4/21, while Jonathan Rongsen picked up 3/49. Aloto Sumi was adjudged Player of the Match.
With the wins, Dimapur and Chumoukedima have set up a title clash in the final, scheduled to be played on April 24 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium.
