Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): Futsal Tournament organised by Dimapur Changki Students’ Union commenced at Backyard Futsal, Nepali Bosti Dimapur on Friday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Joint Director of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Taliwati Longchar said that sports is not only a game, it is something that unites people. Longchar said that one must be humble and courageous in whatever they do in life and maintain one’s identity as without it, life is meaningless.

The joint director encouraged the younger generation to take up sports as a profession and career for livelihood as well.

In the two-day Futsal tournament, a total of 32 teams will be competing for the trophy, wherein the champion will be awarded a cash prize of INR 30,000 and runner up will be awarded a cash prize of INR 15,000. Meanwhile, best goal keeper and golden boot will also received a cash prize of INR 1000 each.
