Dimapur-bound taxi with 6 passengers meets with accident in Zunheboto

Kohima, June 28 (EMN): In an unfortunate incident, a Dimapur-bound taxi (Tata Sumo) carrying six persons met with an accident at Nunumi village under Satakha circle in Zunheboto district, leaving two seriously injured on Tuesday.

The injured persons were rushed to a hospital in Zunheboto, according to Satakha police.

Meanwhile, some of the co-passengers with minor injuries were taken to hospitals in Zunheboto and Kohima for further examination.

The accident took place near Nunumi village gate, about 17 km away from Satakha town, it was informed. The vehicle rolled down about 200 meters from the road (plain areas of the forest) and was left in a bad shape.

It reportedly occurred due to a brake failure, as per the police.
