Dimapur, June 27:BJP Dimapur division has formed a minority morcha, which was formally declared on June 26 in a meeting attended by minority communities, party workers and supports. The objective of forming a minority morcha was to strengthen the party in Dimapur.

President of BJP Dimapur division, L Bendang, expressed support to the newly formed minority morcha and urged the members to work for the betterment of the society in general and Dimapur in particular. He, however, made it clear that there should be no distinction among the citizens as majority and minority, adding all are citizens of the nation first. He said cultural diversity in India compelled political parties to branch out into separate wings for better coordination, communication and cooperation between different communities.

He said BJP is the only party which is truly working for all sections of society.

The minority morcha would be headed by Bipla Sangma as president, Vikram Singh as vicepresident, Pravakar Yadav as general secretary, Karam Ajit Singh as general secretary (Admn), Sudish Bhagat as finance secretary, and Satish Arora as treasurer.
