Dimapur Bengali students resolve to initiate new project

Members of the Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union are seen during its annual general meeting at Hotel Jal Mahal on September 22.

Dimapur, Sep. 22 (EMN): Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union (DBSU) has decided to initiate new project by providing free coaching classes to the needy students. The decision to this effect was taken during its annual general meeting held at the conference hall of Hotel Jal Mahal on September 22.

A union press release stated that classes would begin after the selection results are declared in all the Dimapur-based schools. It added that students would be chosen for the classes based on defined criteria set by the union.

The union also decided to felicitate all Bengali students who secure 90% and above in the HSLC and HSSLC examination 2020 as well as give laptop to the best student from its community. The union also decided to organise Bengali premier league in the month of December.

Several new appointments were made during the meeting chaired by its president Subham Nath. Rajat Ghosh, general secretary, submitted the secretary report. Besides the members, the meeting was attended by its advisors KK Paul, Bishnu Bhattecharjee, Sudip Narayan and Juel Acharjee.
