Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): Dimapur Athletics (DA), under the aegis of Nagaland Athletics (NA), organised a certificate course in sports coaching (Athletics) at Government Higher Secondary School ground from May 9 to the 19th.
An update informed that 29 teachers from several private and government schools attended the course and were trained by professionals from NA on how to coach students at the grassroots level.
The closing ceremony was attended by Asa Khate, Advisor DA, as the special guest, while Bithungo Kikon, President DA, announced that trials and selection events will be conducted in the following months for state and national events. Schools and sports clubs were also invited to affiliate with DA.
Meanwhile, the association expressed its gratitude to Abu Metha, President NA for his continuous support.
