SBI conducts digital awareness camp at Jubilee Memorial College, Mokokchung, to promote safe digital banking practices.

MOKOKCHUNG — A digital awareness camp was organised by the State Bank of India (SBI), Regional Business Office Mokokchung, in collaboration with the Department of Economics, Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung, at the JMC Hall on Friday.
The programme aimed to promote awareness about digital banking services and educate students and citizens about safe digital practices.
Imtitoshi, Branch Manager, Alongmen Branch, Mokokchung, who attended as the resource person from SBI, delivered an informative session highlighting the various digital banking services provided by the bank.
He explained the benefits and convenience of SBI’s digital platforms and encouraged students to adopt secure digital transactions.

During his presentation, he also cautioned participants about the rising cases of digital fraud and cyber scams.
He stressed the importance of safeguarding personal banking information, avoiding suspicious links or calls, and remaining vigilant while using online banking services.
The session emphasised how citizens can protect themselves from fraud by following basic digital safety practices.
The programme was moderated by Dr. Chubaienla Imchen, Assistant Professor and HoD, Department of Economics, who guided the proceedings and facilitated the discussions.
An interactive session was also held where students actively participated, raising questions and sharing their concerns regarding digital banking and cyber security.
The awareness camp proved to be highly informative and beneficial for the students, helping them gain a better understanding of digital financial services and the precautions necessary to ensure safe online transactions, stated Imchen.
