DHS Tuensang organises RCH camp at Chessore village

DIMAPUR — The District Health Society (DHS) in Tuensang organised a reproductive child health (RCH) camp at Chessore village, Chessore block in Tuensang on Wednesday.

According to a press release, the medical team for the camp included Dr. Imtijungshi, district immunisation officer for RCH and Universal Immunisation Programme; Dr. Nungsang, obstetrician and gynaecologist at District Hospital (DH) Tuensang; Dr. Ayangla, district programme officer for non-communicable diseases; Dr. Imliyatet, medical officer at DH Tuensang, along with staff from the district programme management unit and District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), as well as MICTC, block programme management unit, Chessore block, ANM (SHP), and primary health centre staff from Chessore.

In total, 112 people, comprising 88 females and 24 males, availed of medical services at the RCH camp. The services provided included 11 antenatal care (ANC) sessions, 12 HIV screenings, and 18 consultations with a paediatrician.

Eligible couples and lactating mothers received health talks on family planning during the camp. Additionally, leaflets on family planning, Ezy pills, Mala-N, and condoms were distributed to the attendees.
