DIMAPUR — The District Health Society (DHS), Tuensang, observed Anti Leprosy Day on Tuesday on the theme ‘Ending Stigma, Embracing Dignity’ at the CMO conference hall.
According to an update, epidemiologist and medical officer Dr. John Shupao delivered a short speech during the programme, informing the gathering that leprosy is a treatable and curable disease if diagnosed at the right time.
He also encouraged the health workers to focus on their assigned tasks.
During the programme, a pledge was also taken by all participants as part of the Sparsh Leprosy Awareness Campaign.
