DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 8
Officials from Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima including Dr Kithan, Addl Director of DHFW and Dr KT Lotha, joint director were on a tour to Kiphire District from December 5 to 8. The team visit was for periodical Monitoring and Supervision. The team also visited the District Hospital Kiphire, Pungro CHC and Amahator PHC. While they also paid a visit to sub-centres at Chomi, Zhimkiur, Pungro village, Singrep and Longmatra.
The team monitored and supervised on various fields such as the Manpower status, the Physical infrastructure, the equipments, the essential Drugs and supplies, Quality parameter of the facility, Record maintenance, Service Delivery, the functioning of Village Health Committees, etc.
The team also had a review meeting with District Programme Officers, Medical Officers and staffs under Medical Superintendent Office on December 6 and on December 7 with the Village Health Committee chairman of the 25 Health Units under Kiphire District. During the meeting, Dr Kithan and Dr KT Lotha highlighted the purpose of the meeting and briefed the participants on the roles and responsibility of VHCs.
Various issues were discussed and taking part in the discussion hour, the participants mentioned their concerns and also gave out success story with the coming in of communitization.
