DIMAPUR — Dimapur Government College Students’ Council (DGCSC), in collaboration with Dimapur Municipal Council, Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies, Oriental Colony Council, NCC and NSS unit of Dimapur Government College (DGC) organised a joint social work on April 6.
The joint team cleaned the garbage, which was dumped at the college wall along with the National Highway-36 adjacent to the Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies.
An update from DGCSC stated that public continued to dump garbage at the college wall despite of repeated warnings by preceding authorities. It added that dumping of waste causes not only environmental threat to the college community but also put a significant threat to the health of the students and pedestrians.
DGCSC appealed to all the students of the college and public to keep the surrounding neat and tidy for the convenience of the students and people living around. It further appealed to shun throwing garbage at the college wall along the National Highway-36.
