Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Dimapur Government College Alumni Association (DGCAA), in collaboration with the State department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, will organise one-day seminar on “Climate Change” on May 18 at the college’s auditorium from 10 am.
Supongnukshi, Chief Conservator of Forest and State Nodal Officer for Climate Changer, and Butesen Ozüküm, freelance trainer from Leadership and Community Development, Shillong, would be the resource persons.
The resource persons would make presentations on ‘Consequences of climate change and counter measures,’ ‘Government response to the threat of climate change and involvement of community,’ ‘Combating climate change through conservation of forest and wildlife.’
The college’s principal, Kavili Jakhalu, would deliver the opening remarks, while Meripeni Ngully, Associate Professor, and Selina Walling, Assistant Professor, would conduct the seminar programme.
All the teaching faculty and students are asked to attend the seminar.
