Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN): The Assisi Centre for Integrated Development (Acid) with the support of the National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (Nabard) started a micro enterprise development programme on detergent making for 30 members from different self help groups (SHGs) on September 8.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, S C Sahoo, DGM Nabard, Dimapur said skills that one learns are not a waste, it always enhances the individual.
"Being a SHG member makes you learn different skills for livelihood, promotion, self employment and self-sustenance," he said.
Sahoo also expressed gratitude to Acid for the continuous programmes conducted through the support of the Nabard.
Rahul Tiwari, DA of Nabard said the skills that one learns are for life, the more one learns the more one become an expert. It is up to an individual to enhance those skills and make use of it for the betterment of self and for the group. He encouraged the SHG members to make their groups function properly and to become self-sufficient.
Sr .Pramila Lobo, director Acid expressed gratitude to Nabard for their constant support in the uplift of women through different skill development training programmes.
