[dropcap]A[/dropcap] review meeting relating to works distribution for the celebration of Republic Day 2015 was held today under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary and Home Commissioner Pankaj Kumar.
The meeting discussed that the Republic Day function will be held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza as usual where various contingents will take part in the ceremonial parade.The main attraction for the forthcoming Republic Day will be the putting of stalls by exhibition-cum-sales Agri-and-Allied sectors and the Assam Rifles, 164 Naga Territorial Army and Air Force will also put up exhibition stalls. Cultural programmes and entertainment including showering of petals from helicopter will be the highlights of the morning programme.
In the afternoon there will be an exhibition football match between the IG Academy Girls and the Kohima Veterans, tug-of-war, band display and beating of retreat etc will mark the occasion. The Nagaland State Transport Department shall arrange transportation for public convenience to Secretariat plaza on 26th January 2015.
